| Happy Monday Guys…hope you all had a lovely weekend…we are opening the cafe with a sweet California wedding captured by Greg Slick Weddings……I’m so excited to have Greg stop by the cafe today…I love his work and trust me, when you take a tour of his site, be prepared to stay awhile….his images are AMAZING…yes, he ROCKS….and Greg totally captured Jen & Alex’s wedding story so perfectly!! They are the cutest couple and their wedding is filled with lots of pretty details…let’s check it out…Enjoy!! |

| Jen shares a little info with us:
Invites and programs: We wanted to make our invites fun to receive and open so we took inspiration from children’s pop up books and constructed our invites so that they had pull tabs and tear away windows. Totally time consuming to design, print and assemble ourselves but it was so much fun, we’d do it again. Wedding Tips jar: We had printed cards where guests could leave us nuggets of relationship advice to help get our marriage off on the right foot. Wedding Timeline: We created a 24 foot timeline which spanned our lives from birth to present day. We asked friends and family to contribute photos, memorable moments and stories about the first time they met each/both of us.Lawn games and picnic blankets: We didn’t have assigned seating at our wedding. It was a roving meal, so to speak. So guests were free to roam, grab food and eat at tables, picnic tables or relax on a picnic blanket. We also provided lawn games (croquet, bean bag toss, ping pong, bocce and frisbee) so there was plenty of entertainment. |

| Advice you’d give to other brides:
Consider doing a set of first look photos before the ceremony so you get a little more quiet time with your sweetie before the big day begins. Have a plan B in case things run behind schedule. Pay a little more for the pros. We did with Greg and we don’t regret it or a minute. And definitely get the bounce house. |
