Michelle shares all the ‘411’ with us…..
‘Claire and Antonio met while attending Howard University in Washington, D.C. They decided to return to Claire’s hometown of Atlanta to plan the perfect Southern Elegant wedding. The color scheme of the wedding was ivory and blush pink with accents of silver and gold. The bride and groom did a first look at the St. Regis, and the ceremony and reception took place at the Atlanta History Center on 5-5-12. We worked with Claire and Antonio to design a wedding that was soft, romantic, and timeless. The ceremony took place on the Swan House lawn. Gorgeous floral from Jackson Durham flanked the altar, and a pattern of rose petals marked the aisle. At cocktail hour, we created an escort card display with a crystal tree centerpiece. We hung from ribbon, the couple’s family wedding photos. Guests signed a photo engagement guest book, and left fun advice for the newly married couple on mad lib cards. Guests also enjoyed a lemonade and tea station along with appetizers at cocktail hour. The reception featured a mixture of ivory textured linen from I Do Linens with low and high centerpieces. The wedding party sat at a long estate table with a white leather tufted banquette. The wedding cake was set on a mirrored top with a beautiful ivory rosette linen. The cake by Sweet Sensations was a blush pink with gray floral motif design. The lighting by Unique Event Management allowed the centerpieces on the table to shine, and the couple’s monogram gobo created the perfect backdrop to the head table. Each guest place setting included a favor box which held the couple’s custom made candle. The wedding stationery suite by Foglio Press featured a save the date with a watercolor drawing of the swan house and a die cut invitation with ribbon. The couple and their guests danced the night away to music provided by One Sound & Entertainment before their rose petal exit into their vintage getaway car.’ |
