REAL WEDDING: BIRTHE & ARNDT

Guys, meet Birthe & Arndt….their wedding story was sent to me by James Moes….James ROCKS!!!  He really does….and I’m sure you will agree when you see how beautifully he captured Birthe & Arndt’s wedding…their wedding is filled with beauty…fashion….great food….beautiful floral……family….friends….and a whole lot of dancing….SO much fun at the reception!

Let’s check out all the ‘magic’ of their special day as captured by James and he shares a little ‘411’ with us….Enjoy!

‘Arndt & Birthe are beautiful friends of mine. They are also super talented. Arndt is the Creative Director at  Burnkit  (my old stomping grounds when living in Vancouver), and Birthe is an accomplished Art/Editorial Photographer (one of PDN’s Top 30 Young Photographers of 2008) who I’ve had the pleasure of assisting on numerous occasions. But more importantly they are kindred spirits and selfless folk.  What could have been a pressure-filled photo assignment was simply an enjoyable day.

The celebration took place at the Bodega Ridge resort on Galiano Island (one of British Columbia’s Gulf Islands – between Vancouver and Victoria) over a sun-filled weekend. Family & friends traveled the distance (many from their motherland Germany), and spent the week/end on the island. The food was absolutely delicious (from the apps to the main course to the dessert to the midnight stew) and plenty of Granville Island Hefeweizen was poured from the kegs. The dance party went into the wee hours of the night – with either Arndt or Birthe staying committed to keeping the dance floor alive. That’s Arndt & Birthe. Selflessly keeping the party going. Everyday.’
