REAL WEDDING: SHANNON & JOSH

Happy Monday Everyone…hope you all are ready for a week filled with gorgeous inspiration at the cafe….I have two lovely weddings for you today.  We’ll begin with the gorgeous wedding story of Shannon & Josh….they are such a gorgeous couple and their wedding is SO beautiful….truly ‘magazine worthy’.  Their wedding story was captured by the beautiful and talented Shanni Weilert of What Shanni Saw.  I have to share with you that I am so blessed to have the opportunity to have so many wonderful and kind people stop by the cafe each day and Shanni is all that and more….Enjoy!!

Check out what Shanni said…….’As a photographer, I of course get a little bit giddy when I walk in to a wedding and see a bride with a breathtaking bouquet, a Five-Star menu, or dazzling centerpieces.  It of course makes my job a little bit sweeter, and makes for guaranteed stellar ‘detail shots’.  But in all honesty, I would be lying if I said that was the most important thing and any photographer who focuses too much on that is not serving their clients well.  If the details made the wedding, then SO many weddings would go down in peoples memories as the best wedding ‘ever’.  To me, the best weddings are when the couples plan the day around THEM, around who THEY are and what THEY love.  And that is what people remember.  No bride frames a photo of her programs (important as they are), they treasure the photos that bring back the love and excitement of their day.

Whether it be a stunning dress for the bride who loves fashion, the breathtaking location for the couple that loves the outdoors, or the most delicious cake for the bride who has a sweet tooth, it is couples who focus on hi-lighting their passions and assets who have the best memories of their weddings.  For Josh and Shannon- that decision was simple- it was more than evident that they love each other with every ounce of their being… and they love to dance. Boy do they love to dance!  And so did their guests!  They hired the most killer DJ and the party went on… and on!   They did their own choreographed routine for the guests, and the bride even break danced on the ground (she’s a member of a hip hop dance crew!).  And they both have sweet tooths… so they had a frozen yogurt machine for the reception…. ummm.. you know where I hung out multiple times throughout the evening;)  Josh’s gifts to his groomsmen were the mirrored glasses they’re wearing in some of the pics… such fun props!

Especially in these economic times I think that your readers (and every bride-to-be) would benefit from the knowledge that people don’t remember (for the most part!) what kind of chairs you had- they remember your love, and they remember how you made the day about you, in whatever way that is.  And more than likely what you love is also shared interests with most of those people you are closest to- so they will love it as well!!!!

So without further ado, here is Josh and
Shannon‘s wedding…. for you.  How cute are they!’
