———————————————————————————————————

Welcome back to the wedding story of Lauren & Jonathan….their wedding was so special to me because I was given the opportunity to work with so many talented and sweet individuals and we literally came together and made it happen in two weeks!  When I got the call from Elizabeth Messina telling me that she was coming to Virginia to shoot her brother’s wedding and asked if I could design the flowers….well, it took me all of two seconds to say YES….Lauren’s mom had planned on being the ‘florist’ for the wedding, so she was more than happy to give that assigment up!

After speakiing with Elizabeth, I called wedding planner and stylist, Courtney Spencer of Merriment Events and we immediately went into ‘planning mode’….we had two weeks to make it all happen and between the phone calls and emails with who I refer to as the ‘Dream Team’ of vendors, we made Lauren & Jonathan’s wedding day story truly ‘picture perfect’.

Thanks to everyone for your time and your beautiful talents….we could not have done this without you and thanks to Lauren & Jonathan for letting us be a part of your special day.  Now let’s check out all the magic of Lauren & Jonathan’s wedding day and all the info on this wonderful group of wedding vendors that made it all happen…Enjoy!!

The cute ‘Mr.’ and ‘Mrs.’ signs Jonathan & Lauren are holding were designed by my beautiful and talented friend Nana of Family Attic Shoppe.  Guys, please visit her site…her signs are too cute and such a perfect detail for your wedding or event.

Lauren had two gorgeous dresses for her wedding…she wore this form-fitting stapless gown for her pre-wedding photos and after the ceremony.  She wore a ‘ballgown’ for the ceremony.

One of my favorite images…Lauren is such a beautiful bride….she reminds me a little of ‘Carrie Bradshaw’ in this image!  Her makeup was done by my beautiful friend, Erika Nixon, of Makeup on Demand…. !

Lauren’s gorgeous birdcage veil was designed by Myra Kim of Twigs & Honey…..simply beautiful!

Lauren’s bouquet was designed by ‘me’….Janie Medley Flora Design….I used buttery cream tulips, white ranunculus, blushing bride and hints of dusty miller…the handle was wrapped with lace given to Lauren by her grandmother.

The bridesmaids wore espresso brown knee-length dresses from Anne Taylor Celebrations and carried a simple bouquet of green and white parrot tulips wrapped in brown and green grosgrain ribbon.

And here’s a pic of Elizabeth capturing one of the groomsmen holding the basket of bouts…how cute!

And a pic of the ‘Best Woman’….holding her nosegay that I put together at the last minute…the ‘Best Man’ wasn’t able to make it so Jonathan’s sister filled in…how sweet!

Lauren & Jonathan’s intimate wedding took place at Veritas Vineyards and Winery.

This is one of the ballrooms at the venue…STUNNING….such a beautiful place for a destination wedding ladies!

One of my favorite details was the DIY escort card arrangement designed by Courtney… and Jennifer at Pretty Pen Jen did the beautiful calligraphy…they both did an AMAZING job!

We used belles of ireland, queens anne lace, and  fern curls and placed them in a birch container….I wanted the look to be very whimsical and organic!

The centerpieces, were filled with hydrangea, belles of Ireland, dahlias, scented geranium leaves and hanging amaranthus….the vessels were footed urns….perfect for the chocolate color linens!

We placed a kermit mum on each napkin!

Each table was named for a different wine…calligraphy by Pretty Pen Jen!

Lauren and Jonathan’s table was decorated with two love birds nestled on moss under a pretty bell jar….a cute detail designed by Courtney!

The gorgeous cake was made Kristine Bender at K. Rose Cakes….Kristine’s cakes are incredible…not only are they beautiful…they taste AMAZINGLY good!

A perfect ending….the ‘Just Married‘ parasol was designed by Kristin of I Do Originals…a great detail to add to your wedding day photos!

A HUGE thank you to Elizabeth for inviting us to be a part of Lauren & Jonathan’s wedding….guys, it was truly a pleasure and so much fun meeting Elizabeth and her family and having her photograph our work was truly a dream come true…..and to Lauren & Jonathan….we wish you a lifetime of love and joy….xoxoxo
