‘Hi Janie!!!  Congratulations on your new website!

I have been a fan of your blog for almost a year now.. it has inspired me in so many ways during my planning.  I was just wondering.. how does a wedding get featured in your blog?  It just seems that all the real weddings you featured came from vendors or can a wedding also get featured if a bride’s the one who sends photos?  It would be such an honor to get featured in your blog!
‘I don’t even know if our wedding was bridescafe worthy, but it wouldn’t hurt to try to send you some images right? πŸ™‚

Jaycee,my husband and I live in New Zealand, but we’re both Filipinos. We went home to the Philippines for our wedding in December. We had a traditional filipino catholic wedding in an old church, Malate Church, which was built in the sixteenth century and we had a garden reception in Patio Victoria, which is located in the old spanish city, Intramuros, in manila.

We’ve been civilly married for almost 3 years and we have a 2-year-old daughter, who was also one of our flower girls!

My gown was made by a local designer, Veluz Reyes.  You know how some brides fall in love with their dresses when they fit them? I fell in love with my designer when I came across her blog and saw the beautiful dresses she made.  I only fitted my dress 3 weeks before the wedding and it was the perfect fit!  My gown also had 2 looks, I wore a top over the strapless dress in the church, which was inspired by a top Blair wore on Gossip Girl.. haha and for the second part of the reception, I removed the top and Veluz’s people sewed a bronze belt on to the strapless dress to match my bronze Louboutins πŸ™‚  She also provided the hairpiece and the bag πŸ™‚

I had 2 pairs of shoes, the bronze python Louboutins and a pair of green/pink satin nine west heels, which I bought because it had my wedding colors πŸ™‚

I also DIYed a lot of stuff with the help of my sister and our wedding coordinator.  So, if you think our wedding is worth blogging about, I could send you photos of the details too πŸ™‚

Thank you so much for your time Janie!  I already feel honoured that you found the time to read my email!’

Regards,
Candy
