Ivy and Matt share a little info with us………’Monica and Anthony are loved beyond words and so their wedding was bound to be extraordinary. From the very first moment we arrived, we knew it would be a unique day! One minute after we got to the hotel where the bride and groom were getting ready, sirens went off and, due to a potential fire, the hotel underwent a massive emergency evacuation of every guest.
Rollers still in their hair, the bride and her bridesmaids were rushed out of the hotel and we all ended up at a Starbucks…hiding from the groom (who was also evacuated) and watching the firemen rush through the hotel’s door. Not knowing if we’d have enough time before the wedding began, Monica’s dress shot was taken inside the Starbucks where we were sequestered. Definitely the most unique wedding day dress shots we’ve taken! Despite all of this drama, we were impressed to see that the bride and the groom stayed in fantastic spirits. Nothing took their focus away from the fact that it was their day, and nothing stole the joy of knowing they would be married soon. Such a sweet couple!! 🙂 The wedding took place in a lovely rose garden at the Botanical Gardens of Fort Worth, TX. Family members were given umbrellas to shade them from the sun, and the guests stood to witness the ceremony. Joy, love, and strength of community were emphasized throughout the wedding. During the prayer, guests were asked to stretch their arms out in blessing to the new couple, a move that emphasized the central role that faith plays in Monica and Anthony’s lives. From the groom’s fist pump and emotion at the bride’s entrance, to the bride’s impromptu dance upon their exit, from start to finish, the entire ceremony was a celebration of love. The reception was likewise, a time of dancing and fun among family and friends. We loved the small cake and individual cupcakes they had in place of the traditional wedding cake. Such a cool idea! We hope you enjoy this small collection of wedding photos from Monica and Anthony’s day. We left the wedding knowing that this couple is loved. Truly loved. All day, all of the guests clamored for a chance to photograph them, speak to them, and give them hugs and congratulations. Everyone loves them. It really was one of the most inspiring weddings we’ve ever been to!’ |
