Layne shares her inspiration for all the sweet wedding details…….‘Our wedding weekend ended up being perfect. Much of our family and the entire wedding party was able to spend the weekend at Post Oak Lodge in Tulsa, Oklahoma with us. It was a great location–beautiful scenery, great amenities and lots of things to do. Our vision for the wedding was a thrown-together, rustic and vintage look, which is why Post Oak Lodge was a perfect place.’ |

For the ladies, Layne knew she didn’t want typical bridesmaids’ dresses so she found a cool skirt pattern (with pockets, of course) and had the skirts made by her wedding dress designer. She found a white v-neck t-shirt to keep the casual look throughout and then added a cute, chunky necklace. |

‘We knew August 14th would be hot but we still wanted to have an outside wedding, so we decided to go for a really casual, but clean, look. We loved the look of greys together with purples and a little orangey-red as a splash of color, so these were the colors we focused on for the wedding attire. For the men, because it was going to be hot, we ditched the jackets and found a great lightweight pant and relaxed button up shirt. Kyle had the ties made for the groomsmen with a fabric that he found in town. He also loves wearing funky socks, so he got all the guys a pair of relatively cool socks.’ |

‘There were charming white-washed chandeliers hung from the trees, old-world doors and windows salvaged from junkyards to add to the outdoor theme. An outside reception area was illuminated by christmas lights wrapped around tree trunks and used wine bottles had been cleaned, de-labeled and substituted for flower vases, all contributing to the rustic theme that permeated throughout the weekend’s decor.’ |
