PICNIC IN THE PARK – KERRA & CHRIS

Say hello to Kerra & Chris….our first 2012 engaged couple at the cafe…they are the cutest couple and I just adore their sweet engagement session at the park….all the lovely images were captured by the oh-so-sweet and talented, Natalie of Natalie Bray Photography….Natalie’s work is always so beautiful and I’m so happy to have her stop by the cafe and share all this pretty inspiration with us…and all the beautiful blooms are by Green Fresh Florals……let’s check it all out….Enjoy!!

Natalie shares all the details with us……. ‘Chris and Kerra met in College while both playing basketball they became fast friends and their love grew until they had to be together, that was 6 years ago! Chris proposed on one knee at Mr. A’s in San Diego a few months ago…if you haven’t been there, the view is amazing! They are sincere and genuine in their affection for each other, they communicate, make each other laugh, and are just too cute! They love art and being unique, so I thought why not hang a vignette of vintage picture frames from a tree to set the backdrop, then set a sweet picnic in front. We used a vintage suitcase as their table with beautiful Anthropologie place settings to bring out the colors in the blooms. The flowers are from the fabulous Green Fresh Florals in San Diego. A bouquet full of stunning garden roses, billy balls, aster, and mini-daisies set the color pallet for soft pinks, yellows, and greens. We also used vintage glass soda bottles as vases for the variety of blooms as a center piece for their table setting. Then, flanked the center piece with covered books and vintage cameras because K+C love vintage details, so this completed their picnic table beautifully. A handmade grey and white striped quilt was placed for them to rest and relax as they enjoyed their picnic. We created personalized glass jars, one for the bride and one for the groom. They loved drinking their lemonade in these cute custom jars with flower and bow tie. And since no session is complete without a little something sweet, we baked a three tiered chocolate and french vanilla cake. Of course! 🙂 We love desserts, so any excuse to devour delicious sweets and we are happy to oblige. The couple was ecstatic about it too! hehe! We chose the lush Presidio Park as the perfect location for their E-Session. It is a great place to relax…take a nap in the shade and drink lemonade… yes please!:) Kerra’s vintage inspired dress is from Macy’s and Chris wore Ralph Lauren plaid slacks with a white button down. All styling was done by me :)…I love being creative and bringing my clients vision to life, plus I get to take pics…its a win win.’
