CLASSIC THEMED WEDDING – BY BRANCOPRATA
| Happy Wednesday and I’m so excited because stopping by the cafe today is Sofia Ferreira and André Teixeira, of Brancoprata! I adore them! Brancoprata is truly the complete package when you are searching for your wedding vendors…they do styling + floral design + invites and paper goods + AMAZING photography…..they ROCK!!! Sofia sent over the beautiful wedding of Eliana & Nuno to share with us and it’s simply lovely….they are such a beautiful couple and you’ve gotta love a bride with pretty pink shoes! | Sofia shares a little info with us…..’Eliana and Nuno motto is LOVE LIVE LAUGH and this was the starting point of their inspiration for their May wedding. They always wanted a intimate wedding with a classic twist. Their color scheme was mainly white and grey with a dash of pink, and a very simple but elegant design.
Eliana’s sister surprised her with a room full of white balloons and she made sure to surround her with her favorite poetry books and family photos. They both had vintage rings that belonged to their late grandmother, a very special person for them! A family friend lent them it’s 1972’s Citroen (a very popular car in Europe) and drove Eliana to the Church. The ceremony was very beautiful and intimate, it was held in one of the numerous churches of Braga, a 2000 year old city in the North of Portugal. Small harmonic programs were given to guests as they enter the church and in the end bride and groom were showered with petals and rice. After the ceremony the couple went to Solar da Levada, one of the most popular and historical venues in the North of Portugal.’

| ‘The couple and guests were welcomed with cocktails in one of the venue’s many gardens. In that garden we set up the escort cards, using a centennial tree. Eliana and Nuno choose they favorite poems to incorporate in the back of the escort cards and on the menus. Door numbers were used as table numbers and centerpieces had peonies, roses, chrysanthemums and baby breath, combined with glass candle holders that help creating the romantic but modern look they were aiming for.
Each table had a small guest book were guests could write messages to the couple. After dinner guests were escorted to another garden with several fires, in the middle of pond a table with the wedding cake was set up and in the back a magnificent firework. Looking back Eliana and Nuno wouldn’t change a thing, they were surrounded by their family and close friends and today they remember this day with love and longing and they are certain of one thing: LOVE LIVE LAUGH every single day of their lives!’ |
