From Ang Weddings and Events: ‘The wedding ceremony took place at City Hall with close family in attendance. The day after the ceremony was the wedding celebration at Per Se. Thinking October in New York would be pleasant, we had organized a walking tour of Greenwich Village for their guests. Who knew that a snowstorm would hit New York in October! Despite the snow and thunder, the majority of their guests donned their waterproof gear and went on the walking tour.
The Bride wore a Jason Wu short black dress with Gucci platform leather pumps. I loved the chic silhouette of the dress with the contrasting white peeking out from the bottom. The back was a plunging V neckline. Rountree Flowers created a bridal bouquet of ranunculus, acorns and seeded eucalyptus surrounded by a tailored collar of sleek black feathers. The Bride’s brother laser cut a leaf motif into the wooden table signs. Rountree Flowers created the lush centerpieces in footed “antique” metallic urns. The loose arrangements included garden roses, tulips, ranunculus, scabiosa pods, seeded eucalyptus, flowering jasmine vine and kumquats. The look was opulent, but with a delicate sophistication. At each place setting we put a natural acorn subtly dusted with fine brown glitter. A loose garland of leaves and flowers and “antique” metallic votives surrounded the hand calligraphed escort cards. The ombre wedding cake (chocolate devil’s food cake with coffee cremeaux and hazelnut nougatine) was topped with sugar ranunculus.’ |
