A PROPOSAL IN PECAN GROVE WITH KIM & DEVIN

Hello Lovelies….you are going to love this sweet proposal story….what started out as a ‘style shoot’, turned into a marriage proposal….y’all this is too cute and it was all captured, planned and styled by the oh-so-sweet and talented, wife and husband duo, Stacy and Joe Kokes of Stacy Kokes Photography….Stacy and Joe ROCK….their work is OMG GORGEOUS!!…I’m so excited to have them stop by the cafe today and share this beautiful story with Kim & Devin with us…..let’s get right to it and Stacy shares all the cute details…it’s a must read y’all….Enjoy!! |

| ‘Our friends Kim + Devin were the stars of this lovely shoot. I first had the pleasure of having these two in front of my camera last spring. They were such great models that I was dying to photograph them again, but this time I wanted to go all out with a styled shoot. I ran my DIY shabby chic shoot idea by them one night and they both agreed it would be a blast.
A couple days later I got an email from Devin entitled ‘Kim’. When I read the contents of the email, I was overcome with giddiness and excitement. He asked if we could use the styled shoot as a means for him to propose to Kim. I was all ‘Oh my GOSH…yes, yes YES!’. So him & I got to planning how it would go down while Kim + I continued to talk about the ‘styled shoot’. She was helping me plan her proposal and didn’t even know it! Dev+I had everything planned out from who would hold onto the ring to what the cue was that it was time. Devin listened for my line, that I would set them up for ‘one last shot’. As I waited for what I knew was about to occur, I felt my heart start to beat faster n’ louder and prayed Kim couldn’t hear it! And then it happened. Devin reached in his pocket, got down on one knee and asked Kim to be his wife. The rush of emotions in that moment was unlike anything I’ve ever had the pleasure of documenting. Giddiness and excitement filled the air as Kim exclaimed ‘Yes! YES! Of course YES!’. Devin’s already wide smile grew bigger than ever before and the two embraced deeply. It was absolutely picture perfect and I am forever grateful that I was able to be a part of it.’ |
