BRIDAL SHOWER INSPIRATION – ‘PEACHES & CHERRIES’
| Happy Friday My Lovelies….I hope you all have something fun planned for the weekend…we’re gonna start the cafe weekend off with the sweetest bridal shower inspiration from the AMAZING team at Ruth’s House Event Rentals…..Creative Director, Stephanie, sent over all the lovely images from a bridal shower that was planned by Ruth’s House for her two sisters…now how sweet is that…there are just so many lovely details….you are going to love this….and all the magic was captured by the oh-so-sweet and talented, Gayle Brooker of Gayle Brooker Photography….let’s check it all out….Enjoy!!
Stephanie shares all the sweet details with us….“The occasion was a Sunday afternoon Bridal Shower I hosted on May 15, 2011 for my two sisters, Shonda and Selena. Shonda’s wedding was on May 21, 2011 and Selena’s wedding was on June 25, 2011. The theme for the Bridal Shower was “Peaches and Cherries.” We prepared a “Takeaways Table” with brown paper bags of peaches, cherries and homemade mini pound cakes for guests to enjoy later. The takeaways mirrored the dessert of homemade pound cake (made by the brides’ mother), ice cream and cherries and peach garnish the guests were served at the Shower. Lots of the main dishes served were made from ingredients I picked up at the Charleston, SC Farmer’s Market the day before such as the green and yellow tomatoes for the Summer Salad, and the fresh black pepper spaghetti pasta served with grilled chicken. Upon arriving each guests filled out a “Recipe for Love” card with advice for the brides that they later read to introduce themselves. In addition, as a twist on the “tissue dress” bride game, we prepared two baskets that had décor elements from each wedding and had guests form two teams to “Design a Dress” for each bride. The guests also took home a “Sweet Year 2011” customized handkerchief made by designer Lisa Ekstrom who I found on Spoonflower, an online site that prints off designer fabrics.”
