BROOKLYN FLOWER SHOOT
| Hi Guys, thanks for stopping by the cafe and today’s feature is beyond sweet! I have the pleasure of sharing a ‘behind the scenes’ look at two very talented and AMAZING floral designers meeting for the first time…at the NY Flower Market of course! Denise Fasanello, of Denise Fasanello Flowers located in Brooklyn and Brooke Howsley of Pollen Floral Art located in Austin, got together after becoming friends via email. I have to share with you that I’ve met SO many wonderful floral friends via email and it’s such a joy to finally meet in person…I can only imagine the fun Denise and Brooke had together designing beautiful floral arrangements and totally ‘girl chatting’….capturing their fun day and all the beautiful florals, Suzi Varin of Q Weddings! I LOVE Suzi’s work and I’m so excited to have her stop by the cafe today…now let’s check out all the beautiful images Suzi sent over….Enjoy!!
I love this image of the flowers on the cart at the flower market…this is what we, floral designers do…placing all the floral on the cart to get a vision of the bouquet..and this combination of florals is truly ‘picture perfect’! |

| Here’s a little background information on the shoot from Suzi……
‘I mentioned to Brooke that I was doing a wedding in Brooklyn. The florist happened to be Denise and turns out Brooke and Denise are mutual admirers from afar. They had been email buddies for quite some time. They had been looking for a way to work together. It was a crazy and happy coincidence that I was chosen to shoot the wedding in Brooklyn. I suggested that Brooke come along and help Denise with the wedding. The day after the wedding, we went to the Flower District, then back to Denise’s studio. Denise and Brooke created some amazing arrangements and it was interesting to see them working side by side yet creating their own work. Also interesting is that they can’t remember whose is whose.’ |
