CENTERPIECE IDEAS – A VEGETABLE TABLESCAPE

Looking for a fun way to decorate the dinner table…you all know I’m all about the flowers….but,  why not incorparte a few veggies in the mix!  Everytime I’m at Whole Foods, I get drawn into all the gorgeous vegetables…not to buy them to cook, but to decorate with them and the cool thing about it, the vegetables and the flowers are side-by-side at our Whole Foods…great marketing on their part!

Well, I finally got a chance to put together a ‘Veggie Tablescape‘ with the help of stylist, Dana FitzGerald and photographer, Emme Wynn.  The florals + veggies cost around $45.00….and no need to buy new linens and tablesettings….use what you have in your home…I’m sure you’ll be surprised at the beautiful pieces you’ve collected and have totally forgotten about them.  Mixing vegetables with florals are certainly eco-friendly and you can always reuse some of the veggies the next day!

Let’s check out all the veggies on the table…Enjoy!

A spring color palette of oranges and yellows, adding a centerpiece of tulips and daffodils….and I lined the vase with rainbow chard….how pretty!

Placing a single tulip at each place setting and tying it with twine adds an organic feel to the table.  We placed one bunch of radishes in a clear cube vase and to add a little ‘flavor’ to the votives, Dana place slices of the golden rutabaga underneath…how fun!
