DECORATING WITH SUCCULENTS
| Today, it’s all about decorating with succulents….totally one of my favorite flowers and it’s so wonderful to see that brides are incorporating them more into their wedding decor…..I love their organic look and feel and the best part about them…they are very hardy flower and succulents are great as favors for your guests…they can take them home and plant them……an excellent source for purchasing beautiful succulents for your big day, Fifty Flowers.com….they provided all the succulents for our shoot and they were perfect!
So I got together with Amelia of Amelia Johnson Photography, prop stylist, Dana Fitzgerald, makeup artist, Erika Nixon and our beautiful model, Cameron and we had a fun afternoon……Dana and I wanted to share with you a few different ways to incorporate succulents into your wedding day or for a lovely dinner at your home……and as always, Amelia did a fabulous job capturing all the beauty from the shoot….and you can also see images from the shoot over at one of my favorite wedding sites, Green Wedding Shoes….Enjoy!!

Succulents are perfect for decorating wedding cakes, we also used fiddle head ferns, billy balls and orange ranunculus for a ‘pop of color’! Our cake was designed by K. Rose Cakes!

For the bouquet….succulents, fiddle head ferns, ornamental cabbages, billy balls, ranunculus, parrot tulips and I wrapped the stems with burlap…keeping the organic vibe going!

Succulents are a perfect addition to add at each place setting…a lovely surprise for each guest!
