DIY – FLOWER BRACELET
| It’s DIY day at the cafe and we have one of my favorite ladies and floral designers with us, our beautiful and talented friend, Sarah Winward of Honey of a Thousand Flowers …..on Sarah’s last visit, she shared a pretty DIY Flower Hair Garland and Boutonniere……today, Sarah is has the cutest DIY Flower Bracelets….you’re going to love them and they are super easy to make…take it away Sarah!!
‘When I hear “wrist corsage” I think of high school prom and cringe. Flower bracelet sounds much nicer I suppose, so that’s what we will call this. I love these on bridesmaids if you don’t want them carrying bouquets, you can also make smaller versions of this for flower girls. I’ve made two different types here, one that is anchored on a bracelet (yes, this is basically a floral slap bracelet) that is great for heavier flowers, and a smaller version that is made with just a single flower anchored to some ribbon.’ |

For smaller bracelet you will need: |

To make the bracelet: 1. Cut focal flower very short 2. Wrap the stems of your focal flower with floral tape

3. Wrap a bit of greenery around the focal flower. I find it is best to have some on both the top and bottom of the flower. |
 |
4. Cover the tape with ribbon you will be using for the bracelet, just glue it around the tape in the same way you wrapped the tape around the flower. |
 |
5. Glue the piece to the top of the ribbon. Make sure it is secure, it should be fairly light. |
 |
6. Tie it on to your wrist! |

For large bracelet you will need: Focal flower Lightweight greenery or accent flowers Ribbon Floral wire Floral bracelet….you can purchase these from floral supply shops. They are basically a slap bracelet that has a plastic plate on the front. Floral tape Hot glue gun |

To make the bracelet: 1. Measure out enough ribbon to cover the bracelet and have it tie underneath. I like tying just a knot instead of a bow, but leave as much as you would like. Glue ribbon to the front of the bracelet, just a dab on the plastic plate will do. |

2. Cut focal flower short, wrap the remaining stem, and pierce a strong part of it with the wire. |

3. Run the wire through the holes on either the plastic plate, and tie the wire off, tucking it on the underside of the plate. 4. Glue a square of fabric over the back plate where you secured your wire so it doesn’t poke your wrist. |

5. Glue short sprigs of greenery right onto the bracelet tucked right up close to the bloom so that you cover any spots where you can see stem or wire on the rose. |

6. Slap the bracelet on and tie the ribbon! |
