EDITORIAL SHOOT – FLORAL BLISS

A couple of weeks ago, I got together with the girls and we created a little ‘floral bliss’ to share with you…we literally put this shoot together in twenty-four hours…here’s how it went down…..I called my friend and oh-so-AMAZINGLY talented photographer, Amelia, of Amelia Johnson Photography and asked if she could come over and photograph a few bouquets for me…she said yes and I really wanted to be able to have someone holding the bouquets in the photos.

I contacted my girl Erika Nixon, makeup artist extraordinaire and asked if she could get a model on such short notice to help out…well, not only did Erika get an awesome model for the shoot, she walked into my home with the most beautiful young lady…. inside and out…say hello to Soliél …she has a smile that lights up the night and she calls me ‘Mama Janie’!  We all had the best time girl chatting….so much laughter and fun….and it’s always a special treat watching Erika do her thing…and when she decided to give Soliél  a ‘bright and bold lip color, well, we couldn’t wait to start the shoot.

So, it begin…it was so exciting watching Amelia and Soliél work together…seriously, it was pure joy…seeing Amelia directing Soliél and watching how natural Soliél is in front of the camera was truly music to my ears….and, of course, seeing how Amelia captured all the florals…..just so magical!

Thank you so much Amelia, Erika and Soliél….what a fun afternoon I had with all of you and it was so wonderful making new friends and building new relationships on a beautiful fall day…..I’m also excited to share that you can also see more from this feature over at one of my favorite sites, Munaluchi Bridal…..so make sure you head over to check it out…….Enjoy!

One of my favorite images of Soliél…she’s so beautiful…I added a little bit of queen anne’s lace to her hair for this pic and her make-up is flawless….Erika ROCKS!!!

For the future brides…have you ever considered a lovely bouquet of queen anne’s lace for you or the bridesmaids…how pretty is this!

A pretty little bouquet filled with dahlias, dusty miller, seeded eucalyptus and astible and wrapped with a strip of burlap!

Our third bouquet filled with dahlias, viburnum (blueberry), helleborus and iron cross clover!

Amelia did such an AMAZING job…I love her style of shooting so much…another one of my favorite images!

As you can see, Soliél  was having so much fun at the shoot…check out her beautiful smile!

Check out those heels….I was totally surprised when I came out back and saw Amelia and Soliél setting up this shot!

I hope you all enjoyed our dose of prettiness today…we have lots more beautiful inspiration to share with you in the coming weeks…you’re gonna love it!!
