From Roxanne…….’Jeanette and I have an affinity for intimate weddings and quaint restaurants so we styled an elopement shoot. Living in Miami, we know that it is chock full of remarkable restaurants which have the style and savvyto cater to elopers.
Because of its eclectic mix of industrial and Mediterranean furnishings paired with its picturesque courtyard, Soyka was an ideal location. The ambiance is second to none; ornate chandeliers; wooden frames; a cornucopia of candelabras; every cracked piece of plaster is intentional and adds to its overall charm. For budget conscious couples, a venue like Soyka is perfect because with all its charisma, minimal décor is needed. Our bride is audacious. She exudes style, art and brilliance. Her paneled maxi skirt and romantic applique lace top are a relaxed twist on the typical white wedding gown. The table is clad in a crisp, white linens, burlap runner and napkins. We chose to keep the linens earthy to contrast the Soyka’s style; however, to play on the lavish décor of the venue, we selected baroque gold chargers and white plates coupled with gold stemmed utensils and crystal glassware. The invitations and cake continued the earthy contrast and tied everything together seamlessly.’ |
