Now, let’s check out a little info on Ulrica……Ulrica was chosen as one of the top portrait photographers in the U.S. by Rangefinder magazine in 2009. Ulrica will teach you how to work with natural light, how to tell a story with your pictures, fun ways to style a photo shoot that your kids will love, how to pose babies and children in comfortable ‘un-posey’ ways and, most importantly, how to take pictures that speak to the heart. You’ll have the chance to bring inyour own photographs for feedback, as well as ask any photography-related questions you like. Ulrica will also bring in her own equipment and reveal her personal techniques for creating her images. Ulrica was born and raised in Sweden before moving to San Francisco. Her photographs have been featured on The Today Show, Live with Regis & Kelly, The Martha Stewart Show as well as in publications such as Oprah At Home and C Magazine. She loves the quality and tradition of film and specializes in shooting medium-format film for all her portrait work. She works exclusively with fixed lenses using only natural light, which caters to her thoughtful shooting style and allows her to connect and work closely with her subjects. The combination generates carefully crafted images with a luminous quality. Her photography is influenced by her Scandinavian aesthetics and love for clean, organic lines. From weathered barns to wide-open spaces, the landscape of her native Sweden is reflected in her style and attraction to simplicity. As a result, her images are modern, yet intimate and timeless. Ulrica lives in Santa Monica with her husband Craig and their two sons, Axel and Gustav. Let’s check out the beautiful images Ulrica sent over and y ou can see more of her work here. |
