It’s true – we are hiring! The Bride’s Cafe is looking for two interns to fulfill some of our key social media duties around our blog. We are accepting applications from around the US, as long as you have a positive attitude!

We seek candidates for the position of Social Media Intern to support the promotional and social media functions of The Bride’s Cafe. The interns will manage our accounts on social media platforms and/or the company blog. Additionally, the interns will provide administrative support to the staff. The interns will report directly to the Associate Editor. This is an unpaid position, requires 10-15 hours per week of availability. We will be hiring up to two interns.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Manage social media accounts for Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Lover.ly, Tumblr, and company blog
Research potential marketing mediums and upcoming marketing trends
Assist in the development of social media plan to enhance customer engagement
Research event and wedding industry trends for social media content
Assist in developing branding and identity through web ads, email marketing, and SEM
Provide copywriting and copyediting expertise for social media content
Provide administrative support to staff including drafting correspondence and maintaining vendor relationships
Other various duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Demonstrated passion for event and wedding industry is desired
Knowledgeable about Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr and Lover.ly and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong research and writing skills
Self-starter, able to operate with minimum direction
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preference will be given to candidates seeking academic credit
