Ivy shares her and Tom’s favorite memory together…..’ Number one for me is our honeymoon. I got so sick and had so many different ailments. Before we left on our trip I had been having some stomach issues that had not yet been diagnosed. They had settled down a bit before the trip but once we got there, things went crazy again. Apparently I’ve developed a problem with dairy and if there is one place you don’t want to go if you have a problem with dairy and don’t know it, it’s Paris, home of cheese, butter, and crème fraiche. So the first few days of our trip were rough and kept us inside quite a bit. Then on day 3 I got tonsillitis and was bed ridden for the next 4/5 days. The awesome thing was, Scott stayed by my side the whole time. In Paris!
There was nothing to do in our apartment except watch YouTube and French music videos; the weather was great, and you could hear people having a good time in the plaza outside our apartment, but he stayed with me. I kept apologizing, even though I we both knew that it wasn’t my fault that I got sick, and he didn’t just say ‘Oh don’t worry it’s not your fault.’ He said, ‘that he was happy just to be there with me. And when I cried and told him that I wanted to go home, he was willing to change our flight and pay the extra $700 for us to do so. But best of all, he convinced me to stay so that once I got better, I actually had a chance to see Paris, and it was awesome. I just feel like it was a perfect way for us to start things off, knowing for sure for sure that we were in it for the long haul!’

Check out what Ivy says are her favorite memories of their wedding day….‘I really loved it all, outside of the sudden cold weather. Our first dance, getting to say my vows to Scott, the food(!), dancing with my mom, even the stress of decorating. It was all really great. One of Scott’s friends gave a hilarious speech about the word wedding being defined as the fusing of two metals, and how we were those two metals-gold medals. Oh one thing that was really awesome was waking up in our hotel the next day to read our guestbook and all of the cards we received. I also really loved that we and our officiant used iproducts to say our speeches (which was not really planned, twas just convenient).’
