LETTER FROM THE EDITOR

Happy Monday Everyone…I hope you all had a wonderful weekend…..I had an exceptionally awesome weekend….it was my ‘birthday weekend’….to be exact, yesterday was my birthday and I am celebrating my 50th.  I wouldn’t normally post a feature about me personally, but celebrating ‘50 years young‘ is indeed cause for a month long celebration…and yes, I’ve been celebrating since July 1st!

I want to thank my wonderful friends for the surprise Birthday post on yesterday (please scroll down to check out Sunday’s post if you haven’t seen it)………you all truly surprised me and it was a perfect way to start my day!

So I thought for my B-Day, it would be fun to do a photo shoot with ‘my guy’, Steve…..I asked one of my favorite photographers and friend, Katie Stoops of Katie Stoops Photography, if she would hang out with us and just have a fun day…OMG…it was a totally fun day…Steve and I had a blast with Katie….and I have to share with you…I really don’t like having my picture taken, but Katie made the session so much fun!! We all laughed so much and really enjoyed the entire day together! 

We did the shoot on Friday and I started off the day with my girlfriend Erika Nixon, Make-Up Artist Extraordinaire, coming over and doing my make-up for the shoot……I love Erika….she’s fierce and we always have a fun time catching up while Erika ‘does her thing’ with the makeup!  You can contact Erika at
