MEET LAUREN CHRISTENSEN OF LO BOHEME
| Happy Friday Guys….I hope EVERYONE has something ‘FAB’ planned for the weekend….and to get your weekend off to a fabulous start, I’m excited to introduce the beautiful and insanely talented Lauren Christensen of Lo Boheme. I adore Lauren…her headdress designs are STUNNING and Lauren is incredibly kind…such a sweetheart…..here’s a little info about Lo Boheme…..Enjoy!
Lo Boheme specializes in one of a kind and custom accessories for weddings, special events, or everyday wear. Lo Boheme is the wife-husband team of Lauren (Lo) and Josh Christensen based out of a tiny 1930’s bungalow turned studio in San Diego, CA. Every Lo Boheme piece incorporates vintage materials such as re-purposed rhinestone or pearl earrings, antique French veiling, or delicate millinery leaves sourced from boarded up millinery houses in France and Germany. Lo loves a good hunt, and she loves to spend her weekends scouring flea markets, antique stores, and estate sales in search of forgotten lovelies. The Lo Boheme aesthetic is inspired by the details of eras past; whether it be French Bohemianism of the late 1800’s, the detailed lines of the Art Nouveau movement, or the glamor of Old Hollywood. It is the delicate feminine sophistication from these times, coupled with Lo’s modern eye that produce unique yet wearable statement head pieces. Lo longs for the day when the headdress was a wardrobe staple, and it is her goal with her designs to bring this dream a little closer! | The piece is made of varying shades of white goose, ostrich, rooster, and stripped coque feathers. I have then accented the piece with rare 1930’s French veiling and a vintage rhinestone earring from the 1960’s. The piece measures about 3 inches in width and attaches to the hair with a silver alligator clip. |
