PEONIES – FROM GROCERY STORE TO GLAM!
| Happy Monday My Lovely Cafe Readers…..I hope you all had a beautiful weekend and as always, thank you for stopping by the cafe….well, today I’m introducing a new feature at the cafe and it totally revolves around beautiful florals! The concept of the feature is ‘from grocery store to glam’….basically, I’ll be designing florals for the home, weddings, parties, etc. using florals from the local grocery. I always keep fresh flowers in my home and most of the time I purchase them from Whole Foods…I love Whole Foods and last week, I broke into my ‘happy dance’ as I entered the store and I saw these pretty babies….OMG….GORGEOUS coral peonies at $2.00 per stem.
How pretty these would be for a bride to carry as her bouquet and so perfect for centerpieces…..I can totally see these lovelies in mint julep cups lining the reception tables….so elegant! I had the pleasure of having my friend and AMAZING photographer, Katie of Katie Stoops Photography stop by and capture these lovelies on film. For the shoot, I used a turquoise mercury vase as the vessel and we used cherries as an accent…I love the mix of these color combinations and I have made a promise to myself to do a style shoot with these key ingredients….have a lovely day everyone and remember to pick up fresh florals for your home or office the next time you are at the local market!! |
