Meet Rosalind & Blake….their wedding story is simply GORGEOUS….filled with so many lovely details….a beautiful ‘nostalgic garden party’ dress code for a beautiful ‘rustic’ theme wedding.  Their wedding story was captured by the AMAZINGLY talented and oh-so-sweet, husband and wife team of Sugar Love Weddings.  I adore Leigh and Bradley!  Leigh is such a sweetheart…so very nice and as you will see from the images…Leigh and Bradley are so very talented.  Rosalind & Blake’s wedding is featured in two parts today….let’s check out all the beautiful images from their special day….Enjoy!!

Rosalind & Blake first met in November 2000…they began a friendship that soon flourished into love….they were married on December 13, 2008 at the Settlers Arms Inn, ST Albans, NSW.  Rosalind said they were captivated by the feeling of the relaxed country tranquility.

Rosalind shares her vision for their beautiful wedding with us….’I love the idea of bringing sunset colours into an early evening wedding.  It crystallised into a lavender and mossy green theme, with touches of sunset peach-apricot and grey.  Having set out to do DIY styling for most of the wedding, I enlisted the help of loved ones.  I hand wrote the invitations, made tissue paper pompoms as place cards, and Sarnah, my maid of honour, made larger ones to hang from the trees.  I also made vintage-style paper fans from thick parchment and set Blake the task of removing the necks from dozens of green glass bottles to create vases for the tables.’

Rosalind wore guipure lace over a low-backed satin undergown, with low scalloped neck, cap sleeves and full skirt of godet inserts and a small train, made by couture designer, Hanna Kossowska.  Rosalind shares….’I knew I wanted something with a restrained, vintage feel and that I didn’t want any floral, shiny satin, beading or sequins.  Hanna excelled in guiding my ideas….every step was discussed and she was immensely patient.’

The florals are SO beautiful!  There was no florist in town so Rosalind decided to do DIY flowers.  She said….’I spent the day before the wedding making up the table arrangements while Sarnah created our bouquets and button holes for the boys.’

I love these pearls….and they are perfect for the ‘nostalgic garden party’ dress code!
