Shanni shares a little info with us……’Ryan and Ally led somewhat parallel lives- there was almost a magnetic force that kept drawing them near to one another, and yet right when the occurrence to meet came to fruition, they were pulled away. Same town, same summer jobs, same friends… and yet even their names remained a mystery to one another. A mutual friend finally convinced each of them that he was certain he know who their counterpart in life was. The one they would love in a way they had never known. The one they would cry with. The one they would grow old with. After sushi, red wine, and talks of puppies, they too confirmed his hypothesis- they had met the one their soul longed.

Ryan and Ally compliment one another in ways I do not see in many couples. Ally is Ryan’s roots. Ryan is Ally’s wings. Together, they are grounded, with the force to fly. Their love is evident even from the look in their eyes when they hear the other mentioned.

Ally’s family has a great deal to do with the ‘Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk’ and after a lifetime of carnivals and corn dogs, she wanted a simple, country-like wedding that was held in the Santa Cruz Mountains.  The focus was on the beautiful scenery, the love they share, wine, and good food.

Ryan and Ally did something really touching that in all my weddings I have never seen done before.  They truly grasped the fact that marriage, although blissful, can be tough, and they put together a box for a ‘tough day’.  During the ceremony they nailed the box closed with some wine and love notes they wrote that day to each other to open later as a reminder of the unmistakable love they felt at that moment.’

How cute is this y’all…a perfect DIY for your wedding!
