REAL CALIFORNIA WEDDING: ELISE & RUDY

| Shanni shares a little info with us…..’Rudy and Elise- Married October 15 at Viansa Winery in Sonoma, California There are couples that work well together and then there are those couples at there that require no work. I am completely and utterly convinced that Rudy and Elise were placed on this planet to complete one another. Their worlds do not merely coexist- they are innately one and the same.
Rudy and Elise serve as perfect compliments to one another- he is the fierce protector that would shelter her from any and all harm, she the intense and deep lover who ensures that their life and home is filled with passion and joy. Even as Elise placed the ring on Rudy’s finger during the ceremony, he looked into her eyes and wiped away her tears- always ensuring that her needs are being met. Rudy and Elise opted to do what many Bay Area couples do that I adore- wed in Wine Country. It is so amazing when couples are able to embark on the ‘destination’ feel and bring their friends and family away from the stresses of everyday life to celebrate one of the most wonderful things that can happen in this life- the joining of soul mates.Elise is a graphic designer and you could see her stamp throughout the entire day- from the personalized characters on their invitations and programs to the 1,001 handmade paper cranes that she painstakingly folded and built into a custom lamp for the reception. She is half Chinese and half Japanese and she felt it was important to infuse both sides of her culture into the day- from the tea ceremony to the cranes. They also included their pup, Drako in both the illustrations of the couple as well as their big day. I personally love when the pups are involved! The day was overfilled with love and emotion and was absolutely perfect. I have never seen so many tears shed during a ceremony… but that is what happens when two individuals come together who are truly meant to be- emotions are expressed! The evening capped off with wine and glowsticks… and tears, lots and lots of happy tears:).’ |
