REAL {CANADIAN) WEDDING – SARAH & MATTHEW
| Happy Wednesday Lovelies….I received the sweetest email from cafe reader, Sarah….she wanted to share her wedding images with me and I’m so happy that she did…first, let me say that Sarah is truly beautiful, inside and out…and her and Matthew are just the cutest couple….their wedding story was captured by Gabe McClintock of Perspectiveye Photography……Gabe’s work is AMAZING!!.. I’m so happy to have him stop by today and share all the beautiful images with us….Enjoy!! |

| Sarah shares a little info with us…….
Leading up to the wedding, my bridesmaids, mom, family, other friends, and myself made all of the invitations (for 500+ ppl), ceremony & reception decor, reception florals, wedding cakes, and favors. Our “theme” – browns, neutrals, whites, & textures. Considering things were crunched in such a short amount of time, everything went swimmingly smooth. I found my lace dress (off the rack!) within 2 hours of our hunt. Because it was a winter wedding, the venues were wide open with availability, our caterers were open for our picked wedding date, and most importantly, the photographer that I wanted/ *needed* was also available. Some major “pros” to having a winter wedding on short notice! I’d always envisioned that I’d have a mountain, summer, outdoor wedding. Getting married in February, with the snow-covered Rocky Mountains in the distance changed those pre-conceived ideas in my mind … and really, for the better. Despite it being -26 Celsius, it was a gorgeous day with amazing light and the seasonal colors worked into our theme beautifully. As we were surrounded by our favorite, most loved people in the world, it was so rich with joy and beauty which is exactly how we wanted it to be. The absolute best part of everything? It marked the day m’love and I commited to walk together for always. |
