REAL OHIO WEDDING: ALLISON & JASON
| Happy Monday Everyone….I hope you all had a beautiful weekend and are ready for beautiful week at the cafe…..we are starting the week off with the gorgeous wedding of Allison & Jason….they are the cutest couple……looking through their wedding images took me a beautiful spring day….I love the soft touches of the peach, blue and creams of the color palette….and all the cute and fun details of their special day. Capturing their wedding story are the husband and wife team Sam and Ashley Brockinton of Ashley Brockinton Photography . | Ashley shares a little info with us……’The bride, Allison grew up spending her summers at Lakeside, a small community next on Lake eerie with her family in their cottage. Most of her best memories were made there and so when it came to pick a place to be married Lakeside was the obvious choice. Most of the guests arrived early to take advantage of some of the quant experiences Lakeside has to offer; tanning on the dock, bike rides around the community, concerts at the concert hall, shuffle board, putt putt golf… all within walking distance of the bed and breakfast hotels everyone was staying at. The ceremony took place on the lawn outside of Lakeside Hotel next to a fountain and along the lake.
Allison decided to go with the Victorian motif Lakeside so proudly displays. The aisles were decorated with hat racks holding old fashion hats for guests to wear and ribbons blowing in the wind. The ceremony program was printed on hankies and on each chair you could also find a fan screen printed with their silhouettes and a ‘language of fans’ booklet that described the how women used to use their fansto flirt and each fan movement had a different meaning. Allison and Jason arrived in an antique car driven and owned by one of her relatives. Classical music was played by a string quartet as Allison walked down the aisle. The officiant was Allison’s cousin’s husband. After the ceremony there was a cocktail hour set up on the lawn. Music played while guests had time to have their silhouettes cut, play croquet, or just enjoy the breeze. The bouquets were made of peach roses and presented in a cascading arrangement. The reception was a sit down dinner inside the Lakeside Hotel. The Victorian hotel was filled with antique furniture and high ceilings.
