REAL {PHILADELPHIA} WEDDING – JESSICA & AYODEJI
| Happy Wednesday Guys…stopping by the cafe today is the oh-so-sweet and INCREDIBLY talented Julie Melton and Dutch Huff….wife and husband team of Sweetwater Portraits…I’m so excited to have them stop by today…their work is always so beautiful and today they are sharing the beautiful images from Jessica & Ayodeji’s wedding story! Jessica & Ayodeji are the cutest couple…I love their style and we have to give some serious ‘style props’ to Ayodeji and the guys….the bow ties…the suits…the shirts…loving it!! | From Jessica…..’We knew from the start that we wanted Ayodeji’s father to perform the ceremony, and to add Jewish and non-religious components. Ayodeji asked his father to speak about peace and love; his father interpreted the theme to be harmony, and used an allegory from jazz music to weave his sermon.’ |

| ‘The inspiration for the décor was “Peach and Plum,” an idea that came out of nicknames we have for one another (Jessica = Peach and Ayodeji = Plum). The colors for the wedding were, thus, peach and plum. We also wanted to incorporate actual peaches and plums into our table centerpieces, and Beautiful Blooms created an ensemble of peaches and plum floating in mixed-height glass vases topped with bouquets of oranges and purples.’ |

| ‘In place of table numbers, (because Ayodeji collects music and music is one of the areas where our tastes are really similar), we framed pictures of music groups and assigned each guest to a music group that we like – Beatles, Black Eyed Peas, Boys II Men, The Fugees, Jackson 5, New Kids on the Block, The Supremes, TLC, Rolling Stones, etc. Guests had to match the name of their group with the photo on their table. We’ve heard that this led to some funny moments as guests tried to locate their tables, as some guests weren’t familiar with their musical groups and had to ask for help from others.’ |
