REAL WEDDING: DEVON & JOE

Devon & Joe’s wedding story was also captured by Jill Thomas and it is totally ‘magazine worthy’…their style is A++ and the images are all so fun…you can truly see their personalities shine in each photo…Jill shares all the ‘4ll’ with us…Enjoy Guys!!!!

‘i know joe saw devon for the first time and could not keep his eyes off her beutiful face and amazing style.   devon is unique, seriously one of a kind.  she is sincere, gracious, and 100% who she is.  one thing  i love most about her is that she likes to be her and doesn’t like anyone watching.  she stays in the background and that is where she likes it.  however, she is not shy, she is a party and such a great time, but doesn’t like the attention.   for a bride, i find this so refreshing.   i knew all about her because she is my lil-sis’s best friend.  but until i moved to utah i did not really know joe.  and all i can say is wow!  these two are so perfect for one another and will be so happy.   joe is purely amazing!   he is so fun, so personable, and so extremely giving.   when photographing joe, i just love when he laughs and luckily for me devon can get her man to laugh on the spot.

devon and joe just wanted to get married and that was enough for them.   devon did not want a reception,  she just wanted joe and the ones she loved around her.   so, the last week of april we met them down in mesa arizona (devon is from az).   the next morning i met devon and joe at the lds mesa temple.  we went early to get some pictures of them there and then they went in – just them and their family.   when they came out of the temple their families were there to greet them (and a few close friends).  it was perfect, just what devon wanted.

i was so excited to hear that devon and joe wanted to do a fun post – wedding session.   obviously i love their style and their wedding attire was just purely ideal!   one night we were at pei wei talking about what we would do and devon thought of the salt flats (at the great salt lake) – i jumped on it.  i could picture it as soon as she said it.   her colors were just ALL colors – i love it, it was the rainbow.  so, i knew i wanted to incorporate that in the pictures.  we picked up a bouquet of balloons instead of flowers and a colorful kite.   it was so fun because they were so fun and playful.’

many of people have asked about devon’s perfectly put together wedding attire:  dress: betsey johnson -shoes: lamb – headband: etsy – jewelery: anthropologie

And now the ‘Day After’ session…..totally loving it!!!

Thanks SO much Jill for stopping by the cafe today…we love your work and look forward to your next visit…guys, please make sure you check out Jill’s blog site to see more of her beautiful work…and to Devon & Joe….we wish you a lifetime filled with happiness and joy!
