REAL WEDDING: HANNA & JACOB

Welcome back to our second feature….the beautiful wedding of Hanna & Jacob .  Their wedding story was captured by the incredibly talented Max Wanger….I love Max’s style of shooting.  His images are always ‘magazine worthy’ and it’s always fun to have Max stop by the cafe.  Hanna is sharing a little ‘411’ with us…let’s check out what she has to say….Enjoy!

‘My husband and I met in college.  We were close friends and started falling in love when we were both traveling in different countries for the summer.  Our relationship is the culmination of many love letters and travels and we wanted our wedding to reflect that history as well as our love for art and color. 

Our wedding was held on the ground floors of a historic hotel with Moorish, Turkish, and Victorian influences that is now a condominium residence for artists (former residents have included Tim Burton and Marcel Duchamp).  We wanted our wedding to reflect our love for pop art, vintage charm, and writing with a multi-colored palette that had bursts of vibrant color.

My dress is a Pronovias Manuel Mota design.  I lucked out and found it in pristine condition at a sample sale but I was never able to find the exact dress on their website or catalog.  The bridal salon told me that it was a special non-catalog item for their store.  I’m interested in selling it if any of your readers are interested.

Bridesmaid dresses are from ABS by Allen Schwartz.  I walked into an ABS store in Pasadena, CA a few months ago and found a whole rack of formal gowns.  I was open to color and design and when I saw these dresses on clearance, I knew that they would work very well for my bridesmaids who come in all shapes and sizes.  The dress looked uniformly flattering on everyone because of the boning, draping of fabric, and shape of the empire waist.  The store helped me get all 7 dresses ranging from size 0 to 14!’

How cute are the shoes and I love the ‘hearts’!

I got them at a Nordstroms but I know they are soldout online and elsewhere.’
