REAL WEDDING: LISA & RANDY

Welcome back to the beautiful wedding story of Lisa & Randy….their beautiful story was captured by The Bride’s Cafe Crème de la Crème Vendor, the AMAZINGLY talented and oh-so-sweet, Edyta Szyszlo.  I adore Edyta’s style…her work is ALWAYS ‘picture perfect’ and she totally captured Lisa & Randy’s gorgeous wedding story so perfectly……pure romance…..Enjoy!…(and I love the opening black and white image!)

Lisa shares a little ‘411’ with us, ‘My husband and I were engaged at midnight Christmas eve in our PJ’s. We started planning right away for our celebration. We didn’t think of it as a ‘wedding’ instead, it was an intimate gathering of our closest friends and family.  The ceremony was held at the Oak Park Conservatory, an easy way to have an ‘outdoor’ wedding indoors. I was blessed with good weather and the space was flourishing with birds of paradise and chirping parrots.

My father played Sam Cooke’s ‘You Send Me‘ with my sister and six young cousins sang along as I walked down the cobblestone path towards my husband. I am now the step-mom to two beautiful and rambunctious boys and it was important for me to involve them in the ceremony because I wanted them to know that I was not only marrying their dad, but wanted to join their family too. Sam, the oldest, picked out the Brooks Brothers pink gingham matching shirts, so adorable!

The reception was absolutely perfect. We reserved the upstairs of a Cafe De Lucca in
Forest Park. The space exudes old world charm with its stucco walls and suspended Venetian lanterns. The spaces weren’t perfect, and we didn’t have special linens on the tables, but it had integrity and personality which our photograher, Edyta, captured perfectly. I am a graphic designer so I designed all of the printed pieces for the ceremony and reception. A single peony stamp in bluebell carried from the table tents to the Just Married sign, which still hangs in our living room. We loved the experience, and hope you do to!’

Lisa wore a gorgeous gown from J.Crew and embellished it with vintage details from Baby Dolls Boutique.

Don’t you love this shot and the clothes hanging on the line is too cute!

Thanks SO much Edyta for stopping by the cafe today….your work is SO very beautiful and we look forward to your next visit….guys, make sure you check out Edyta’s blog site to see more of her gorgeous work and to Lisa & Randy (and the boys)….we wish you a lifetime of happiness and joy!
