REAL WEDDING: MIREYA & STEELE
| Happy Monday Guys…I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!! Opening the cafe is the beautiful wedding of Mireya & Steele. If you can recall, Mireya was the winner of ‘Miss Erma‘ and we also featured Mireya & Steele’s ‘E-Session a few months ago….well, I am excited to let you know that they were married on June 20th and their wedding was simply BEAUTIFUL!! I love it….the simplicity and all the warmth and love between the family and friends was just so magical…..capturing all the magic was the AMAZINGLY talented and oh-so-sweet, Jenny Jimenez….Jenny is AWESOME…I love her style and her work is always ‘magazine worthy’!

| Mireya shares a little info with us…‘When we first got engaged and finalized a location, we knew we wanted a laid-back country shindig! That being said, we had a small budget we wanted to stick to (and achieved…mostly 🙂 so we tried to purchase everything while it was on sale or utilize things we already had. A few examples – bridesmaid dresses where originally $90 and after clearance and many coupons came out to $12.97 each!; my dress was bought on Black Friday; cupcake stands, lights, serving plates, etc. were purchased during Christmas sales; wedding signs were made with scrap wood.
When the day finally came, we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful setting or more perfect day. We got married on our gracious friend’s ranch and the weather cooperated beautifully. The morning of, my stomach was in knots but the moment I stepped into my dress the nerves melted away, I finally had a clear mind and was ready to see my man! The first look was so much fun and quite an adventure, especially when I got a tumbleweed stuck under my dress in between my legs! Jenny Jimenez, our photographer, was awesome to work with and our family and friends loved her oh so much! My husband and I joke that Jenny is our dear friend who just happens to take pictures of us!! If I could relive any part of the day it would definitely be the ceremony. It was such an amazing feeling being surrounded by our loved ones who were there to support us and witness our sacred commitment, repeating vows as old as time and seeing our hard work for the past year come together. Our pastor did an incredible job putting together a very heartfelt ceremony and I don’t think there was a single dry eye. I keep replaying it all over and over in my head so that I may never forget a single moment. and over in my head so that I may never forget a single moment.’ |
