RHONA & JUSTIN’S BEAUTIFUL WEDDING STORY
It’s Throwback Thursday at the cafe and in honor of ‘Valentine’s Week’, I thought it would be fun to share some of the cafe’s beautiful weddings from past features….it’s all about LOVE….so to kick things off, let’s start with one of my favorite couples, Rhona & Justin!
————————————————————-
It truly makes my day when I receive emails from the cafe readers wanting to share their beautiful wedding stories with us, and what makes it even more special is when I get the opportunity to chat with the bride….the moment I saw the images of Rhona & Justin, I knew they were a very special couple….to be honest, I felt as if I knew them….I’m happy to share that Rhona and I have spoken several times since I received her sweet email and yes, they are a beautiful couple, inside and out…their love for one another is so inspirational and I’m so excited to share their beautiful wedding story…..capturing all the magic from their beautiful day is the AMAZINGLY talented and oh-so-sweet, Melissa Squires of A Girl in Love Photography….Melissa’s work is simply GORGEOUS!!….she totally tells Rhona & Justin’s wedding story in the images! |

And this is Rhona’s sweet email….Enjoy!
Hi Janie, I hope this e-mail finds you well. I don’t really know the process regarding how couples or vendors share their wedding or story with you, but I decided to take a chance and e-mail you. I sort of feel vain writing this e-mail, but I really feel soooo blessed to have had a phenomenal photographer and videographer for our wedding in Detroit, MI and wanted to share it with you. Both of them truly captured everything I felt and the beauty I witnessed on our wedding day, May 15, 2010. It was truly the best day of my life!!!! Our family and friends came from around the country to support us. We had our wedding in Detroit, because my husband was finishing medical school at the University of Michigan (he graduated May 14, 2010…yes, the day before our wedding and he is the first doctor in his family). We wanted to find a way to prevent our families from traveling too much within a short amount of time, so we decided to have everyone meet in the middle. His family is from California and my family is from Georgia. We had an amazing year leading up to our wedding. He proposed to me the day I graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law on May 15, 2009 (exactly one year from our wedding date). We didn’t know how we could afford a wedding, but our family came through, especially my mom. Our families really surprised with reaching out to help us. It was amazing. Well I planned the whole thing and it turned out to be an ABSOLUTE dream. I want to share our journey and story with anyone interested, because I want every couple to know that they can have the wedding of their dreams within a budget.
P.S. I got MOST of my wedding ideas from reading your blog religiously for almost a year…:) Your blog is fabulous!!
Take care. Rhona |
