‘SEX IN THE CITY BOUQUET’ BY KRISTIN BRANCALEONE
| I adore Kristin Brancaleone of The Treasured Petal……not only is she a ‘fab’ floral designer…she is just the sweetest person…I’m always excited when I have an email from her….I know I’m in for some major ‘eye candy’! Well….Kristin and my girl Jasmine Star got together for a fashion shoot and of course……they both rocked it out!!!! Kristin shares all the details….Enjoy!
‘When the sweet and sassy Jasmine Star asked me if I’d like to create a ‘Sex In The City’ inspired bouquet for her next photography workshop, I jumped at the chance. Here’s the thing- I don’t actually watch TV, and I’ve never even seen an entire episode, so my Sex In The City knowledge is quite limited. Forgive me for my naivety, but here’s what I DO know: there is an adorable Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (just like mine), there’s lots of fabulous bling, flamboyant fashion, and accessories galore. |

| I chose stand-out pink flowers with playful textures and interesting shapes. The big pink princess protea in the middle is the star of the bouquet. I also gathered fuchsia gloriosa lilies, sweet peas, ranuncula, Italian heather (love that stuff!), and perfect white hyacinth. |

| The ostrich and polka dotted guinea feathers complimented the black feathery center of the protea and added a little whimsy and movement to the bouquet. I tied it with white satin, draped it with black beads and more guinea feathers around the base.
My favorite detail of all? The black cocque tail feathers fluttering out from the bottom. Reminds me of a feather duster that one of those jaunty little French maids might carry. Ooo la la! |
