SUMMER OF LOVE SHOOT BY DOOBY DESIGN GROUP
| We received a really sultry bridal inspiration shoot and we are so excited to feature it on the cafe. Aisha of Dooby Design in Michigan sent us her lovely collaboration, highlighted with an eclectic mix of blue, coral, and touches of pink. I really love the modern furniture and mirrored accents – and check out that cake! |

| From Aisha:
Modern, refreshing and ever so romantic, a summer love with bursts of cobalt, coral and touches of deep pink. Despite an attraction to white and soft-hued palettes, every year, around this time, always seem to fall head over heels for more vibrant colors, mimosa and tangerine, and now, this astonishingly exquisite shade of cobalt blue, especially when perfectly paired with a spring bouquet, accents of stripes, and stunning reflection of light. |

| From cake designer, Sweet Heather Anne:
We drew inspiration for this cake from Aisha’s fresh, modern color palette. We chose a simple, hand painted pattern to offset the monochromatic floral that decorated the table. We especially like subtle interplay between the shades of reds, and chose to play up that relationship with a few bright pink accents. To elevate the bottom, graphic tier, we left two tiers in crisp, pearl white. |

| From floral designer, PassionFlower:
Upon seeing the inspiration board created by Aisha of Dooby Design which included cobalt glassware, striped chairs and a mirrored table, I decided I wanted to design something vibrant, luxurious, and modern. I used tapered silver square pedestal vases, I thought the metal would reflect nicely in the mirrored tabletop. The centerpieces were modern, grouped arrangements of watermelon colored Japanese sweet peas, deep pink ranunculus, deep blue delphinium and fuchsia japhet orchids. The glamorous, slightly nontraditional bridal bouquet, I made a full, hand-tied bouquet of fluffy deep pink peonies accented with a grouping of deep blue delphinium. Scented geranium foliage and a curl of passionflower vine accented the design.
