Chelsie share all the details of the day….

It all started over coffee with some friends, talking style bloggers to pinterest, pinterest to what’s trending, to all of a sudden our shared love for this whole terrarium trend! One of my friends Amanda mentioned to have some sort of class at the flower shop, Jaclyn, our other friend who is a fashion blogger quickly agreed, ‘OMG yea the flower shop would be the perfect place for something like this!’. I ran the idea past my mom (business owner Jackie) and she soon after hopped on board. Days and days of planning and approaching vendors to help ‘sponsor’ the event aka give us some goodies to help fill the awesome swag bags, we felt like some proud little mamas (we had never done a workshop yet! Surprisingly, our local Kiehls store was more than happy to jump on board and was ready to shoot some images over to their corporate office for us! We were SO excited, the response from our clients was outstanding and our limited spots filled fast.

Basically, we wanted it to feel like a casual meeting of the creative minds to share fun ideas, make their own terrarium and sip and snack on some yummy treats. We went for a vintage hippie-esuqe vibe (including a home-made teepee from our grandma’s lace table cloth collection and gold painted dinosaurs tiering over the ever-so-classy platter of cream cheese and cucumber sammys!

Build your own mimosa, grab a seat, revel in your new goodie-bag goodies ranging from a tall can of PBR to ghiridelli chocolates! It was a casual meeting under the almost 100-year old oak trees shading our 1914 craftsman style flower shop, the attendees ranged from a 12 year old to mid twenties to 50-somethings. It went off with a bang and we can’t wait for more events like these in the future!
