Amy collaborated on a beautiful photoshoot showing all the lovely details of a bride’s wedding day….except, they didn’t focus on the dress…now how cool is that….you’re gonna love it…..some seriously pretty ‘eye candy’ for you!……and all the beautiful images were captured by fashion photographer, Amy Nelson-Blain. Amy’s work is SO beautiful and I have the coolest ‘behind the scene’ video to share with you…but first, let’s check out all the fun from the photo shoot….Enjoy!!

Amy shares a little info with us…..’I am the designer/director/dress-maker behind the Sydney based label, Teeki. I design and create made-to-measure gowns, completely customized to match each bride’s unique personal style. I also offer lovely signature hairpieces and handmade flower hair clips to complete each wedding look.

Inspired with Teeki’s new collection of bridal headpieces, I organized a collaborative photoshoot to showcase other stunning bridal accessories alongside my own…this shoot is ‘everything but the dress’.

Teeki began just over 18 months ago. My journey began making a few friends dresses for special occassions and then through word-of-mouth, I began making bridesmaids dresses for friends-of-friends and it has grown from there! Towards the end of last year another friend asked if I could make a flower for her hair for her big day to sit alongside her veil and from there my love grew for hand crafting and designing custom head pieces for brides. With an elective of Millinery studied at College and taking some short courses with well renowned milliners, I began creating and the response has been overwhelming!

Each headpiece is hand-made by me personally using top quality silk fabrics, swarovski crystals, glass beads and pearls. Each piece is made with love and care to make sure it is of the highest quality.

One of the most popular pieces is the small blooms I make to order. They are popular with brides as I source and match fabrics to their bridesmaids dresses or shoes. Another option if they are having their dresses made, is that they ask the dress-makers to save the fabric off-cuts and then I will offer a discount as there will be no fabric sourcing fee.

They come in their own ‘super cute’ striped Teeki box which makes them a lovely gift for the bride to give her bridesmaids! They look great on their own or as a pair – some brides now are chosing to have variety in their bridesmaids hairstyles with some girls wearing just the one and others wearing two with the common link of the colour of their flower hair clips.

I have a range of headpieces that I showcase and offer to my brides but I also love to do one-of custom pieces to match the brides style and taste. By using various inspiration images and designs the bride likes, we together come up with a design that is unique to her and something that is not on offer to any other bride!

My prices start at $40 for a silk bloom flower clip in a custom colour and the average price for a custom bedazzled one-off piece is $160.’

And now, check out this sweet behind the scenes video of the shoot by Julia Trotti…l love it!
