THE FIVE-YEAR ENGAGEMENT + $1,000 AMAZON.COM GIFT CARD

So, you’re engaged…CONGRATULATIONS!!!  Now the question is….how long do you love birds plan on being engaged…I’m so sorry, but I have to ask.  A couple of years ago, this was the topic of conversation for my girlfriend Jenny and her husband….yes, I’m putting her story out for all of ‘blog world’ to see…no worries…she stops by the cafe each day and trust me…she’ll get a kick out of this!

Jenny and her hubby were engaged for almost four years…it had gotten to the point where they had changed their date so many times, certain vendors would not take them seriously and I was one of them…I was the flower lady…Jenny had gone with me down to the flower market so much that they all know her personally. Well, I’m happy to share that they finally tied the knot, they ended up eloping…now that’s another story!

I’m so excited to see The Five-Year Engagement, from the producers of BRIDESMAIDS, staring Jason Segel and Emily Blunt. This movie has Jenny and her hubby written all over it…I can’t wait to check it out…I have a feeling parts of it will totally be about my girl….in theaters April 27th!

Here’s a little intro about The Five-Year Engagement…..

The director and writer/star of Forgetting Sarah Marshall joins the producer of Bridesmaids for THE FIVE-YEAR ENGAGEMENT. This irreverent comedy looks at what happens when an engaged couple (Jason Segel and Emily Blunt) keeps getting tripped up on the long walk down the aisle. 

Exactly one year after Tom Solomon (Segel) met Violet Barnes (Blunt), he surprised her with a ring. By all accounts, Tom and Violet are destined for their happily ever after, but career plans and comical problems manage to torpedo every ‘save the date.’ Five years later, two people who once dreamed of the perfect day just want to get it over with. Through the humorous trials of discovering who they will become as a couple, Tom and Violet will learn if they have what it takes to survive their five-year engagement.
