VIRGINIA MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS WEDDING – LAURA & DAN

Hi guys, today’s featured wedding took place right here in Richmond, VA and JM Flora Design, aka…’me’….had the pleasure of providing all the wedding flowers for Laura & Dan….Laura was so much fun to work with it…we had a ball chatting on the phone and I finally got to meet the beautiful bride on her wedding day…(it seems to be the norm for me…my brides are ‘long distance’, so I get to meet them on their wedding day)….Laura & Dan are the cutest couple…their wedding reception took place at the VMFA …….Laura shared with me that she wanted her wedding to be not only about her & Dan, but also about her family and friends….she wanted her bridesmaids to wear the dresses they wanted to wear and she expressed to me that she wanted everyone to be comfortable and enjoy the day….capturing their wedding story, the oh-so-fab and talented, Katie of Katie Stoops Photography…Katie’s work is always AMAZING…and always ‘picture perfect’….Enjoy!!

What was the highlight of the day for you…’Dan and I have so many incredible memories from our wedding day that it is hard to choose a favorite! We felt so loved and supported by our many friends and family
members who came to share this special day with us. For me, I think the best moment was at the end of the ceremony when we were announced as husband and wife. Turning around to exit the church and facing all of our loved ones, I could not stop smiling knowing that this was just the beginning for us.’

What advice would you give to other brides…’After months of planning, the day goes by super quickly — so try to really soak it in! Trust that everything will work out in the end and try to remember what the day is
really about. For me, being able to see Dan before the wedding ceremony really helped limit any wedding day nerves or stress. Also, Dan and I were fortunate enough to work with extremely talented vendors who looked out for us and really helped make our day stress-free and enjoyable. Lastly, just remember to have fun!’

Katie, thank you so much for sharing all the beautiful images with us today…guys, head over to Katie Stoops Photography to see what Katie has been up to lately and to Laura & Dan, we wish you a lifetime filled with happiness and love…xoxo
